Job Description:
SiFive is revolutionizing RISC-V based CPU IPs by combining rapid software design with proven hardware engineering.
The Verification Architect will ensure the fidelity of new highly configurable cores and related IPs for clients taking on exciting new use cases like autonomous driving, 5G networking, wearables, or IoT.
The Verification Architect will adopt state-of-the-art verification methodologies to in-house designs to ensure everything on SiFive's integrated circuits works as intended.
Responsibilities include understanding component parts of the system, working with the architect team, creating verification strategies, participating in microarchitecture design phases, brainstorming corner case scenarios, and ensuring verification quality through coverage metrics.
Due to SiFive's unique chip design flow, the Verification Architect will have the opportunity to shape verification ground of state-of-the-art technologies while developing IP with speed and agility.
Working on solving verification challenges of memory subsystem, from L1, private L2, to the last level caches, including memory coherency with multi-core and memory consistency due to weak memory ordering.
Requirements include a BS/MS/PhD in EE, CE, or CS, 12+ years of relevant experience with Core/CPU functional verification, 8+ years of direct experience on cache verification, deep understanding of computer architecture, and seasoned developer using object-oriented programming principles.
