Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of applications that facilitate the company's strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the planning system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement new financial and merchandise planning models and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintain and optimize existing planning models, troubleshooting and resolving system issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Establish data integration processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow within the planning system and other enterprise systems.
  • Monitor daily data loads and validation processes, remediating and escalating as needed, and providing on-call support.
  • Develop related end-user interfaces and reporting, ensuring intuitive and user-friendly experiences.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively utilize the planning system.
  • Mentor junior developers on planning system functionalities and best practices, promoting knowledge transfer and continuity.
  • Document functional and technical aspects of planning models, ensuring that knowledge is preserved and accessible to the team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise planning systems, preferably in a retail or finance background.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field, or any suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Aptitude for complex problem-solving and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant planning system architecture, components, and data integration processes.
  • Thorough understanding of business processes and financial statements.
  • Expertise in TM1/Planning Analytics and Python, or a willingness to learn and adapt.
