About the Opportunity:

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. As an Emergency Room Nurse at our hospital, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages.

Job Summary:

As an Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while prioritizing their physical and emotional needs. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.

What You Will Do:

  • Triage and assess patients of all ages, prioritizing their care based on the severity of their condition.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' vital signs.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes, in a timely and accurate manner.

What You Will Need:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate, or able to obtain licensure prior to start date.
  • Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment, preferably in the Emergency Department.
  • BLS certification must be obtained prior to employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • TNCC certification required within 1 year.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
