Salary
A competitive salary starting at $42,000 per year, plus a $10,000 retention bonus, and an annual tool allowance make this a compelling opportunity for experienced diesel mechanics. The estimated total compensation package for this role is around $55,000 per year.

Job Description
The Senior Fleet Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the company's fleet road equipment, ensuring compliance with state and federal trucking regulations. This includes tractor, trailer, thermo-king, converter dolly, and maintenance vehicles. The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic skills and a minimum of three years of commercial diesel mechanic experience. Responsibilities include:
• Troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance according to company standards
• Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability
• Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines
• Maintaining inventory and proper recordkeeping
• Backing up other maintenance shop personnel
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
• 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic or reefer experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
• Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Adaptability to changing organizational and operational needs
• Computer and software experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and overtime as needed
