About the Role

As a Housing Caseworker at SafePlace, you will play a pivotal role in supporting survivors of domestic violence to secure permanent, safe housing and provide ongoing case management tailored to each client's needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support: Engage with clients, assess their needs, develop personalized housing strategy plans, and support them through the relocation process.
  • Advocacy and Outreach: Advocate for clients with external partners and stakeholders, and assist clients in overcoming barriers to stable housing.
  • Resource Coordination: Connect clients with community resources, maintain relationships with landlords, housing authorities, and support agencies.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage program-related documentation, ensure compliance with guidelines, and handle data entry and financial reporting.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the housing program team, contribute to meetings, and participate in professional development.
  • Ethical Practice: Uphold cultural competency, ethical standards, and ensure client confidentiality in all aspects of the work.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred
  • Experience: At least one year of full-time equivalent experience in providing direct services and/or case management in a related field, such as domestic violence, sexual assault programs, crisis intervention, or housing services
  • Skills and Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred; ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively, establish and maintain strong working relationships, and manage emergency situations calmly and effectively
