About the Role:

The High School Math Education Professional will work in a collaborative environment with experienced educators to develop and implement engaging math curricula that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This role requires a strong passion for mathematics and a commitment to teaching and mentoring students. The ideal candidate will be an expert in their subject area and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach math classes to high school students, using a variety of instructional strategies to cultivate student awareness of how to make sense of, persevere through, and solve problems.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure students meet academic goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current on best practices in mathematics education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience teaching mathematics in an urban setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000-$64,700 based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
