Clinical Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team at La Frontera Arizona, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising clinical services provided by a team or unit, as well as directly supervising team or unit personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development of unit goals and objectives and monitor progress toward achievement of established goals and objectives for long-term and short-term programs.
- Supervise staff in the design, implementation, and assessment of treatment plans for clients.
- Participate in the development of the unit budget and regularly monitor revenues and expenditures to ensure compliance with the budget.
- Conduct team/staff meetings and participate in appropriate administrative, supervisory, and clinical team meetings.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate in-service training sessions for unit staff.
- Provide supervision of client evaluations, including screening and initial intake.
- Monitor the condition of agency facilities to provide an appropriate treatment environment for clients and staff.
- May perform assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services for individuals, families, and groups.
- May provide psychotherapy services as needed.
- Participate in grant writing, contract compliance, and program review activities.
- Ensure that agency policies and procedures are adhered to by those supervised.
- Orient, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Ensure that policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards are implemented.
- Serve as liaison in communicating information between staff and management.
- Participate in public relations activities and act as clinical liaison with the community and other agency components.
- Plan, develop, and implement new services or modifications to existing services, as approved by the Board.
- Provide clinical supervision for case consultation and case staffing.
- Participate in case consultations, case staffing, and monitoring of caseloads.
- Take crisis calls on designated nights and weekends.
- Provide back-up support and decision-making in emergency situations.
- May, if a Registered nurse, administer client medication as directed by medical staff.
- Coordinate all care and services required to enhance and facilitate the optimal physical and behavioral health wellness of persons served within a trauma-informed care framework.
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and one year of experience providing direct services to the specific target population, including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
- Prefer AZ licensure within the first year of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and three years of experience providing direct services to the specific target population, including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
- Prefer AZ licensure within the first year of employment.
- Associate degree in social work, psychology, or related field and seven years of experience providing direct services to the specific target population, including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
- Prefer AZ licensure within the first year of employment.
- Possession of an RN License from the State of Arizona and 3 years of clinical experience in a community mental health or psychiatric setting.
- Must be licensed or certified.
- Administrative ability to develop and implement program objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team and with the public.
- Considerable academic and experiential knowledge of the principles and practices of modes of psychotherapy, especially crisis intervention and short-term models using individual, families, and group approaches.
- Skill in training others to conduct various modes of psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated skill in assessment, diagnostic evaluation, therapeutic treatment, and case management practices, including follow-up and closure.
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of community mental health, alcohol, or substance abuse services.
- Considerable knowledge of psychopathology and psychotherapeutic techniques.
- Considerable knowledge of the cultural characteristics of various minority groups.
- Knowledge of, and experience in management and supervisory functions, including supervision of cases and records.
- Demonstrated ability to orient, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
- Academic and experiential knowledge and skill in program and research planning, development, and implementation of services for special populations.
- Some knowledge of budgetary control procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
