Job Summary:

The Printing Production Specialist will play a crucial role in the overall printing production process at The Specialty Companies in Charles Town, West Virginia.

This is a full-time, individual contributor position that requires a skilled technician with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

The Production Specialist will work closely with the production team to ensure that all printing orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate is organized, has an excellent work ethic, and is a team player.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a salaried position with a compensation range of $15 to $18 per hour, paid biweekly. The successful candidate will also be eligible for company benefits such as retirement savings plans and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the set up and operation of printing equipment such as digital presses, offset presses, and bindery equipment.
  • Ensure all printing orders are completed accurately and according to client specifications.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the production manager.
  • Keep detailed records of materials used, production times, and any issues encountered during the printing process.
  • Assist with quality control checks and make adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to the production manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Continuously strive to improve productivity and efficiency in the printing process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 12 years of printing production experience.
  • Proficient in operating digital presses, offset presses, and bindery equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of printing materials, processes, and techniques is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
