Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Kent Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic CT examinations and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule and prepare patients for CT scanning, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the procedure.
- Monitor patient condition and provide nursing care as needed.
- Interview patients for sensitivity to contrast material and review patient records for contraindications and consent.
- Operate CT equipment using established protocol and troubleshoot when needed.
- Prepare patients for venipuncture, insert IVs, and administer oral, rectal, and IV contrast as needed.
- Assist the Radiologist with biopsies and drainages using aseptic techniques.
- Compile and analyze data for image quality and exam completeness.
- Associate's degree in Applied Science with Radiology and a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent.
- CPR Certification required.
- ARRT certification required.
- Certification in CTD required.
