About the Role

JB&B is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our team in New York. As an entry-level role, this position offers a wide range of project types, varying in size, duration, and complexity. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, including Partners, on client projects.

Responsibilities
  • Complete specific tasks on fit-out/base building/infrastructure upgrades, including assembling riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of routing of major distribution, main equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
  • Review shop drawings, perform site visits, and punch-lists under supervision of senior team members to verify that designs are being implemented accurately.
  • Work on electrical distribution, circuiting, and calculations associated with electrical systems.
  • Lay out switchgear, generators, and panels, and perform basic calculations for electrical loads and voltage drop utilizing calculation software.
  • Visit project sites for surveys, punch lists, and design reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 0-1 years of MEP design engineering experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of design software tools, Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
