The Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Fresno, CA. As a key member of our nutrition office, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing high-quality nutritional care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and evaluations to develop personalized dietary recommendations.
  • Provide patient counseling and education on nutrition therapy, promoting adherence and acceptance of prescribed plans.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor changes to nutrition care as needed, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Current, valid, and active license and/or certification as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment.
  • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
  • Knowledge of modern principles and practices of dietetics.
  • Ability to project a professional image and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
