Job Title: Class A CDL Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a Class A CDL Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer, according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Inspect the tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Report all safety hazards and perform damage control checks on items.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.
  • Ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.

Requirements:

  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Route delivery experience
  • Customer service-related work experience
