We are seeking skilled and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Operating Room (OR) in Anacortes, Washington.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgery.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining the sterile field and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning.
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, surgical staff, and other healthcare team members.

The OR department consists of 4-5 operating rooms and has an average of 20-21 cases per day. The shift schedule varies between 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 10 hour shifts, with 4-5 days off in a row. Weeknight call requirements include working 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 days a month, while weekend call requires at least one weekend day per month.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $40-$90 per hour, depending on experience. As a Surgical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of cases, including orthopedic, obstetric, gynecological, urology, and endoscopy procedures.

Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an OR setting, with a focus on endo and ortho preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
