Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. This is a critical role that requires strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.

About the Job

This position involves performing diagnostic sleep procedures for patients, under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager. You will be responsible for laboratory set-up, patient preparation, performing and observing daytime and overnight polysomnograms, scoring sleep staging, and assisting in the tabulation of data from scored records.

Responsibilities
  1. Laboratory setup and patient preparation for diagnostic sleep procedures.
  2. Performing and observing daytime and overnight polysomnograms.
  3. Scoring sleep staging and assisting in the tabulation of data from scored records.
  4. Maintaining equipment and ensuring it operates safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., polysomnography, respiratory therapy) or equivalent experience.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
  • Current registration as an EEG Technician through the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) preferred.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS certification required.
Work Environment
