About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Materials Movement Specialist to join our team at Kagome. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials throughout the production process.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have the ability to work safely and efficiently operate a forklift without damage to product, persons, or facilities. They will also be responsible for documenting lot numbers for all items being moved from the warehouse to production, communicating with scheduler, production, purchasing, and receiving to exchange information regarding products and materials, and maintaining daily check lists on forklifts.

You will play a key role in maintaining First In/First Out on all packaging, organization, and cleanliness of warehouses 1, 2, & 3, rotating shifts/duties to fill vacancies, when needed work as needed in receiving and shipping.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the production process.
  2. Document lot numbers for all items being moved from the warehouse to production.
  3. Communicate with scheduler, production, purchasing, and receiving to exchange information regarding products and materials.
  4. Maintain daily check lists on forklifts.
  5. Maintain First In/First Out on all packaging, organization, and cleanliness of warehouses 1, 2, & 3.
Requirements
  • Forklift training/certification required.
  • Strong oral and communication skills required.
  • Calculator knowledge required.
  • Good organizational skills required.
  • Able to accurately use scales and formula information.
  • Must adhere to departmental procedures.
  • Must follow all safety guidelines established by the company.
Physical Demands

This position requires walking, standing, and bending, including lifting not to exceed fifty pounds without a partner.

Work Environment

This is a factory environment, cold & wet, icy floors, forklift and pedestrian traffic. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience.
