Job Title: Human Resources Specialist - Leave of Absence

Location: Universal City, CA

Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at eTeam. As a Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day interactive process related to reasonable accommodation requests and leaves of absence for union and non-union employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the interactive process for all reasonable accommodation and leave of absence requests, collaborating with internal and external partners as needed.
  • Process and track day-to-day requests for leave and accommodation, ensuring compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws, including FMLA, CFRA, FEHA, USERRA, and ADA.
  • Maintain employee leave and accommodation files, including through internal HR workflow systems and tracking programs.
  • Act as a point person for employees with inquiries about leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, educating them on leave and reasonable accommodation topics and empowering them to become self-sufficient navigating resources.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners on leave, accommodation, and attendance situations, leveraging HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline HR processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of LOA and disability principles, or 1 year of LOA and disability-specific HR experience required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations, ADA, and Worker's Compensation required.
  • Knowledge of medical disability management required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in both non-union and union/represented environments in retail or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • SAP or other HRIS experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) preferred.
