About the Role:
Erie Insurance is seeking a Liability Specialist to join our team. This role will involve handling complex liability claims and exercising independent discretion and judgment in making recommendations regarding coverage and liability.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations, evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability.
  • Negotiate with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.
  • Document files and submit reports.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate appropriate action.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five years casualty claims adjusting experience or equivalent experience in the medical or legal field required.

Additional Information:
  • Broad knowledge and expertise in the areas of liability coverages, laws and injuries required.
  • Position requires incumbents to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.
  • Travel for training may be required.

Salary: $73,801. The salary range for this position is approximately $73,801 - $119,300 per year based on location.
