Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the advancement of medical education and research.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care through the use of the nursing process, including patient triage, symptom management, and education.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and coordinate care.
  • Conduct physical examinations, obtain and document patient health histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition, laboratory values, and results of diagnostic procedures, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Record patient data, including history, physical examination, problems identified, interventions provided, and results of care.
  • Evaluate current research and apply findings clinically.
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing degree (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant licensure (Physician Assistant).
  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN (Nurse Practitioner) or Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts (Physician Assistant).
  • Document of Recognition from the Missouri Board of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).
