About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Mobile Crisis Response Team as a Crisis Outreach Supervisor.

Job Description

The Crisis Outreach Supervisor will oversee the development and activities of the MCORT office under the direction of the Program Director. The role requires assisting the Program Director in developing administrative and programmatic operations, including staff scheduling, training, and orientation. Additionally, the supervisor will provide remote backup to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff in the field and engage with Crisis Outreach Responders to provide higher-level clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee staff development and activities of the MCORT office.
  • Assist the Program Director in developing administrative and programmatic operations.
  • Provide remote backup to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff in the field.
  • Engage with Crisis Outreach Responders to provide higher-level clinical services.
  • Ensure training compliance for the MCORT team in areas such as de-escalation, mental health crisis, substance use crisis, and suicide prevention/education training.
  • Provide education and training to staff on data collection and reporting.
  • Review and sign off on at least 20% of Mobile Crisis Outreach Response reports for quality assurance purposes.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to analyze data and develop reports on mobile outreach encounters, their resolution, and appropriate transition of care for individuals served.
  • Provide weekend/holiday coverage on a rotating basis for 24-hour/7-day access to services.
  • Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings, supervision, agency meetings, and training(s) as assigned.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution, a professional license (LSW, LAC), and two years of post-master's full-time equivalent professional experience in a psychiatric setting required.
  • A professional with experience in a crisis setting is preferred.
  • A valid NJ driver's license and a good driving record.
  • The ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health in the community.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with community providers and 988 managing entity.
