Job Summary
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH is seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Leader to join our team. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs and activities for school-age children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement programs and activities that meet the needs of school-age children, focusing on five core program areas: Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, the Arts, and Sports and Fitness.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in your care, following established safety protocols and best practices.
- Provide guidance, role modeling, and constructive feedback to children to promote their development and skill building.
- Monitor and evaluate programs and activities to ensure their quality and effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other staff members to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in child development, education, or a related field preferred.
- At least 600 hours of experience working with school-age children.
- Knowledge of youth development principles and practices.
- Ability to motivate and manage behavior problems in children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other staff members.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH provides early learning, after-school programs, summer day camps, and basketball leagues to 1200 youth weekly throughout the central and northern New Hampshire. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who most need us, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
