About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Manager to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the success of our food service operation, working closely with our Director of Dining Services to ensure exceptional community experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Management: Oversee the full culinary management of our food service operation, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
  • Menu Development: Develop and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and sustainability.
  • Cost Controls: Implement and maintain effective cost controls, ensuring profitability and efficiency in our culinary operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure exceptional performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of three years of culinary management experience in a contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant setting, with a focus on inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of culinary professionals.
  • Education and Certifications: A degree in culinary arts or a related field, with relevant certifications such as ServSafe.
