We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at OhioHealth. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely patient test results, driving diagnostic excellence, and advancing our mission to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of laboratory tests and procedures, including automation and manual methods, to ensure accurate and precise patient test results.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including quality control and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate test results, and to develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Medical Technology or Laboratory Science.
  • MT - Medical Technologists certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on microbiology and laboratory operations.
