Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee all Gentle Monster's construction related activities and projects. The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of construction site management and possess a strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and manage costs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Communicate regularly with the executive and design teams to report progress and address any issues.
- Resolve any construction-related challenges on-site to maintain project timelines.
- Manage all phases of the construction process, from initial concept through to store opening, ensuring alignment with brand standards and design intent.
- Supervise the selection of contractors, architects, vendors, and monitor their work to ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget.
- Handle on-site construction management for the new store opening, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Oversee and manage maintenance issues across our existing stores to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and liaise with third-party vendors and contractors to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to maintain store standards.
- Act as the key point of contact between U.S. operations and the design team in Korea to ensure seamless communication.
- Ensure all team members and stakeholders are updated regularly on project milestones and changes.
- Travel oversea as required to oversee the construction of new stores.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in the retail or commercial sector.
- Proven track record in managing maintenance and new construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements (building codes, permits, safety regulations).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with international projects and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel internationally (specifically to Canada) as required.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
