Lead Electrical Hardware Development Engineer

VBB is seeking a highly motivated Lead Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to join our hardware development team. This role will play a key contributor role in planning, analyzing and implementing designs and improvements to the electrical systems in products to achieve product performance goals and business objectives.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role is $150,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits package. The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work on the development of innovative medical devices. As a Lead Electrical Hardware Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, as well as power circuits. You will also prototype, debug, troubleshoot, and rework while maintaining quality technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering, and 7+ years of hands-on experience as an electrical design engineer on product development. You will also need direct experience developing within a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military); Medical Device preferred. Additional requirements include experience with CAD tools including schematic capture and PCB design, familiarity with regulations governing electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the activities necessary to achieve IEC 60601 certification, experience with communication interfaces, and familiarity with circuit simulation tools.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include designing and developing circuits, building and testing prototypes, working with internal and external resources during design, prototyping, and transfer to manufacturing activities, supporting verification and validation activities for the system, and performing and documenting failure analysis of returned product.
