Job Overview

A&R Solar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar and Storage Design Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for designing, pricing, and selling custom residential solar and storage projects to potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet sales benchmarks by converting company-provided leads to projects
  • Effectively communicate with prospective customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Accurately price and design projects to ensure a quality handoff to our operations team
  • Stay up-to-date on products, warranties, code, and incentive programs
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM
  • Participate in community events and/or local organizations to support long-term marketing and engagement strategies
  • Travel up to 40% to prospective customers' sites in the Portland metro area and other parts of Oregon

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals under pressure
  • 2+ years of work experience requiring strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people
  • Highly organized self-starter who can prioritize multiple projects and maintain attention to detail
  • Creative and innovative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant field
  • Technical sales experience
  • NABCEP Certification in PV Technical Sales or other solar industry certifications
  • Spanish language skills

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive commission structure with a base salary of $30,000
