Travel Occupational Therapist Position in Oklahoma City

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $2,500.00 per week, based on 40 hours of work per week and an 8-hour shift. Our company offers a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide professional services in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, evaluating, establishing, and implementing individual and group treatment activities under the direction of a physician.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Interpret a physician's referral and select an appropriate standardized evaluation procedure
- Evaluate patient in areas such as independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and various psychosocial skills
- Develop a treatment plan involving short and long-term goals, frequency, and duration of treatment
- Assist patients in carrying out these procedures through the design and fabrication of adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, joint protection, and body mechanics
- Inform patients and families about goals and progress
- Assist with discharge planning by ordering equipment and instructing patients on home therapy plans
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the principles and practices of professional occupational therapy and the materials and supplies utilized in the program. They should also have skill in organizing and instructing occupational therapy activities and the ability to interpret prescriptions related to therapy needed.
Education and Certifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required, along with a current license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as an Occupational Therapist. Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association is also required upon hire.
