Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides on-site nursing and attendant care to patients in Newport Healthcare facilities. As an LPN/LVN, you will perform all job responsibilities in alignment with our mission and core values.

  • Shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm Sun-Thur or Tue-Sat
  • **$1 Shift Differential Available for PM & Overnight Shifts**
Responsibilities
  1. Provide direct care and nursing services to patients as prescribed by program regulations, and/or individual treatment plan, including collecting medical specimens.
  2. Maintain records, including but not limited to Medication Administration, medical records, medical charts, etc.
  3. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed.
  4. Prevent client abuse by adhering to all policies and procedures, attend periodic training, report suspicious and inappropriate behavior, and follow mandatory abuse reporting requirements.
  5. Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures.
  6. Obtain patient data and vital signs and report findings to the RN/Medical Director.
  7. Screen residents for medical/dental exams and schedule appropriate medical appointments including dental, vision, & clinical, providing medical information on a need-to-know basis.
  8. Comply with all reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, etc.
  9. Attendance at meetings per prior arrangement and participation as an interdisciplinary team member.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state in which they are seeking work.
