At Tulsa Public Schools, we are seeking a skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team. This role is a critical part of our mission to inspire and prepare every student to love learning, achieve ambitious goals, and make positive contributions to our world.

About the Role:

This position will work directly under our district Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the supervision and instruction of students in various school settings. You will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Behavior Plans or Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students identified with behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and instruct students in various school settings
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Behavior Plans or BIPs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
  • Adequately physical strength and mobility required to implement strategies for de-escalation and emergency intervention

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year working experience with children with disabilities preferred
  • CPR and First Aid training and re-certification as required
  • Certification in district-approved relationship-building and de-escalation strategies
  • Registration as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Salary: $34,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Hourly Grade 15 | H-15
