Job Title: Electronics Engineering Manager



About the Role:



We are seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to join our team in Tallahassee. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for creating, developing, implementing, and maintaining a high-performing team of electronics engineers.



Key Responsibilities:





  2. Manage group resources and priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks on cost and with world-class quality.

  3. Responsible for the group budget and lab.

  4. Hire, maintain, and develop highly talented, dedicated, and creative staff at all levels within the group.

  5. Lead the team to architect, design, implement, document, and validate world-class electronic hardware and maintain the product lifecycle of company electronic products.

  6. Maintain and improve the department's processes, procedures, and tools for sustainable quality, reliability, and efficiency.

  7. Implement and maintain modern version/documentation control systems and protect company assets in a professional and safe manner.

  8. Participate in department tasks, including product design, design review, validation/verification, implementation, and documentation.

  9. Participate in cross-functional activities in projects, problem-solving, and process improvement.

  10. Actively participate in customer system integrations and other direct engineering-to-engineering communications/workshops with customers.

  11. Interface and manage projects with an outsourcing partner as needed, including developing requirement specifications, verification test procedures, contributing to product design, providing technical support, and performing verification testing on deliverables received from the partner.



Requirements:





  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in electronics design and development.

  • Industrial product/solution experience in a multidisciplinary development environment.

  • Able to contribute as a member of an organized project team of engineers.

  • Able to apply mathematical and engineering principles to computations with various tools, including mathematical models in engineering, finance, and quality metrics.

  • Able to write technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, work instructions, and test reports.

  • Able to prepare project summaries for peer and executive review.

  • Able to plan, organize, and facilitate efficient working-level and review-level meetings.

  • Able to define problems, collect and organize data, analyze the data to develop and prove a hypothesis, and articulate results/conclusions.

  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form with multiple abstract and concrete variables.

  • Knowledgeable and well-informed on new trends in Electronics development and manufacturing technology.



Preferred Qualifications:





  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mechanical design, and mechatronics integration.

  • Knowledge and experience developing embedded software in C/C++.

  • Knowledgeable and well-informed on new trends in embedded systems and industrial control technology.

  • Experience working with offshore outsourcing partners.
