Job Overview

As an Engineering Project Coordinator at 77 Consultants, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with a diverse team of mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as design drafters, to facilitate the advancement of Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, and Electrical Equipment Centers. Your collaboration with various departments—including Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Sales—will be crucial in supporting the organizational culture and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with industry standards, client specifications, and organizational goals.
  • Interpret job specifications and translate them into detailed drawings.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, along with database and spreadsheet applications for documentation.
  • Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Designers.
  • Engage with clients to guarantee satisfactory project results.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team to resolve any project-related inquiries.
  • Deliver high-quality, professional drawings to clients and shop personnel.
  • Support Electrical/Mechanical Designers in providing a comprehensive project package.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, ANSI, and IEEE.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including skid layouts, building elevations, and various diagrams.
  • Familiarity with quality documentation such as procedures and checklists.
  • Understanding of electrical design principles related to switchgear and Motor Control.
  • Knowledge of electrical interface details for EEC equipment according to specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with manufacturing staff and clients.
  • Ability to comprehend job status reports and schedules.
  • Provide technical assistance to project teams.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, ideally in Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
  • General understanding of ANSI, NEMA, and IEC standards.
