Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy and special assignments.
  • Produce high-quality radiographs with minimal stress and exposure to patients.
  • Review imaging requests to determine proper exam protocols and confirm patient identity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and translate examination procedures into layman's terms.
  • Review processed radiographs to ensure exams are viewable, anatomically correct, and required identifiers are present.
  • Document exam completion in patient medical records and maintain cleanliness and safety of exam areas and equipment.
  • Monitor supply levels and inform supervisors of ordering needs.
  • Notify supervisors of any radiographic equipment malfunctions.
  • Participate in orientation of new technologists and perform related clerical duties.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Experience with Radiology Information System, PC, and radiographic equipment.
