Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Engineered Cooling Services.

This is a critical position responsible for purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for the operation of our establishment. The successful candidate will obtain requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders, while ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods.

The HVAC Purchasing Agent will work closely with requisitioning departments to develop profitable purchasing strategies, verify purchase requisitions, and prepare purchase orders. Additionally, they will monitor and expedite orders, resolve shipments in error with suppliers, and authorize payment for purchases.

• Purchasing: Obtain requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verify receipt of items and authorize payment.
• Purchase Order Management: Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record;
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job;
• Advanced computer skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends and travel as required.
