We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in West Dundee, Illinois.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the surgical field and ensuring all necessary equipment is available
- Assisting with patient positioning, draping, and maintaining asepsis throughout the procedure
- Providing support to the surgeon and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues or concerns
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods
