Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Shoreline Vision. As a key member of our eye care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide top-notch customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient exams, including preparing patients for exams, recording medical history, and verifying patient information.
- Perform a range of duties, including dilation, refraction, pressures, and diagnostic tests, such as visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, and topography.
- Record all data in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Work closely with the eye care team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience and/or training preferred.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
