Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos Holding. As a key member of our National Security Sector, you will play a critical role in designing and developing complex systems that meet the exacting requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide system engineering expertise in several areas, including architecture, design, development, requirements analysis, data flow, network design/implementation, testing, and documentation.
  • Analyze user requirements, system architecture, and system requirements specifications to develop system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Support and provide guidance for system development and implementation planning through assessment of system engineering plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Develop system configuration documentation, including designs for capacity and performance planning, and perform engineering activities such as risk assessments and analyses of alternatives for system-related issues and concerns.
  • Interface with Program Management, System and Software Integration Engineers, Test Engineers, Information Assurance Engineers, and other project team members in an Agile environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in system engineering, engineering science, computer science, or a related field and at least twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years of related experience.
  • Must have in-depth experience in several areas, including system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, and technical system documentation.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of experience working with network design or foundational networking.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of experience working on system architecture design, building, and integration.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years of experience with infrastructure components (servers, switches, firewalls, and other enterprise infrastructure hardware).
  • Must have at least five (5) years of experience as a senior architect working on large complex system architectures.
  • Must have at least five (5) years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows and Linux systems.
  • Must have requirements verification traceability experience.
  • Must have experience analyzing user requirements, system architecture, and/or system requirements specifications.
  • Must have experience in discovery, research, and analysis for hardware and software transitions.
  • Must have experience gathering information related to the lifecycle of equipment and software.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of secure systems engineering and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software maintenance.
  • Experience transitioning legacy systems into new architectures.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering.
  • Experience with risk management/risk register.
  • Experience tracking hardware assets and/or software licenses.
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology or as a member of an Agile team.
Security Clearance:

Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.
