Job Title: Engineering Manager for Systems Integration and Testing

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead our Systems Integration and Testing team. As a key member of our Engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, ensuring the successful application of integration and testing policies, and supporting the hiring and staffing needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management: Lead a team of approximately 20 engineers, responsible for their performance management, training gaps, and professional development.
  • Workforce Planning: Execute workforce and staffing plans set by the Sr. Engineering Manager to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results.
  • Hiring and Compensation: Have hiring and compensation authority within own department, in accordance with management review and approval.
  • Staffing Performance Issues: Manage staffing performance issues, including PIPs under review of Sr. Eng. Mgr. and HR.
  • New Employee Onboarding: Ensure new employees are properly onboarded, including IT requests, check-ins, and logistics.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience: 9+ years of experience in test and integration in the defense industry, with a strong background in managing diverse teams.
  • Skills: Extensive experience in test and integration, with a strong background in managing diverse teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in managing high-performance engineering teams.
  • Skills: 5+ years' experience in systems integration and test of secure military communications systems, with a strong background in managing diverse teams.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance.
