At Apple Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vision Research Scientist to join our Camera Algorithms team. This role is focused on developing innovative machine learning techniques for various image restoration and image fusion applications.

About the Role

We have worked on many core algorithms in the Apple camera imaging pipeline, including DeepFusion, Photonic Engine, SmartHDR, and Panorama. As a Senior Vision Research Scientist, you will research and develop novel machine learning models that contribute to shipping the most popular camera in the world.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and train deep learning models for image restoration and image fusion applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like camera hardware, firmware, GPU, and image quality teams to bring your ideas to product.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong coding skills in Python; experience in C/C++ is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing machine learning algorithms for computational photography/computer vision and image processing problems.
  • Extensive knowledge in camera processing pipeline, classical computer vision, and classical computational photography techniques.
  • Experience with deep learning techniques for image restoration and image fusion applications (denoising/demosaicing/super-resolution), and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $**$160,000 - $220,000 per year**, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits and opportunities for growth and development.

The estimated annual salary range is based on national averages and may vary based on location and other factors.
