About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Structural Designer to join our System Layout and Structural Engineering team within Core Hardware Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to AutoCAD Designers in the creation of complex steel structures as part of large-scale automation systems within customer Distribution Centers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive Facility and System level drawings, including plan, elevation, and detail views using AutoCAD tools and techniques such as Layers, External References, Dynamic Blocks, and File Management.
  • Exhibit fluency in both 2D and 3D layout and design assignments, with the ability to configure and release large steel structures, including multi-disciplinary trades such as MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
  • Utilize your knowledge of structural steel components to design and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECO) of Bills of Material for core structure and other supporting assemblies of the Symbotic automation system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the building and/or machinery industries.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using AutoCAD, with prior experience designing projects involving structural steel.
  • AutoCAD specific certification(s) a plus.
  • Experience in Material Handling and/or Automation Systems a plus.
