Job Summary

Ocean Beauty Seafoods is seeking a skilled Order Packer to join our team at our Portland, OR distribution center. This full-time position involves working the swing shift and requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack frozen orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to customer standards and specifications.
  • Rotate and pick frozen product to specifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Label boxes with customer name, route number, weights, and contents, maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Weigh product or count pieces before packing and record weights/counts with 100% accuracy.
  • Understand and adhere to safety and manufacturing practices in the handling of food products.

Requirements

  • Experience in handling and processing frozen meat or seafood.
  • Ability to make decisions and work with plant and sales personnel.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and production.
  • Accurate recording of product information.
  • Basic math skills and ability to communicate with all employees.
  • Self-starter with good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good safety record.
  • Experience with Pallet Jack.
