Able Manufacturing & Assembly, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing metal and composite components using SolidWorks.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop detailed models, assemblies, and production drawings for new and existing products.
  • Provide and maintain updated fabrication documentation.
  • Continuously improve design and manufacturing processes.
  • Control product revisions and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop new product designs and technical documentation.
  • Maintain and update the CAD library.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in SolidWorks and manufacturing processes.
  • 5+ years of experience in advanced SolidWorks and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D drawing creation.
  • Mechanical background with experience in metal fabrication, punches, lasers, and press brakes.
  • Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with sales, engineers, and external customers.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes, revisions, and change orders.
Quality Control:
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with company standards and specifications.
  • Direct objectives to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor performance and maintain high-quality output.
Safety:
  • Personal accountability for preventing injuries and illnesses.
  • Adhere to plant safety rules and regulations.
  • Report any injuries or suspected injuries immediately.
  • Be familiar with safety equipment and emergency procedures.
