**Job Summary:**

This role involves collecting, inspecting, and inventorying personal property of incoming inmates. The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry and Maintenance: Assist with data entry and maintenance of computerized files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Property Collection and Inventory: Collect, inspect, and inventory all personal property of incoming inmates, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Storage and Release of Property: Maintain inmate personal property in a safe and secure manner until their release from custody, preparing property for release as required.
  • Reporting and Communication: Develop and submit required reports relative to inmates' stored property, as well as respond to incoming telephone calls and take messages in the absence of management personnel.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in administration or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a correctional environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of software applications, including word processing and database management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with inmates, staff, and management.

**Benefits:**

GEO Group offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
