Role Overview

Introba is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer Designer to join our Baggage Handling team. This is a remote position that involves assisting in the design of accurate discipline-specific drawings from the engineer/senior designers' design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed drawings and models for mechanical systems
  • Conduct site surveys to gather data for design purposes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
  • Review and investigate code compliance for mechanical systems
  • Design and size equipment for optimal performance
  • Generate plans and coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth project execution
  • Assist in the review of shop drawing submittals from contractors
  • Prepare site inspection reports and interact with building owners, property management, architects, and design and construction teams
  • Ensure designs meet all applicable codes and safety standards
  • Provide construction cost opinions and support technical societies
  • Manage and coordinate models using project shared coordinate systems and linked models
  • Develop Revit families, project templates, and title blocks

Qualifications

  • Associates or technical degree in Building Systems Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
  • 2-6 years' experience in BIM modeling, facility design, or construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
  • Experience with model coordination and ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and manage responsibilities on multiple projects
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Basic understanding of construction detailing and techniques
  • Client-focused with a strong commitment to innovation and integrity
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team
