Childcare Program Director

The Keene Family YMCA is a dynamic organization dedicated to strengthening our community through programs and services focused on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
We are seeking a skilled Childcare Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Childcare Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for providing direction for the program and classroom, implementing curriculum within established guidelines, and creating a positive environment that promotes youth development, social responsibility, and healthy living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build personal and meaningful relationships with YMCA members, participants, volunteers, and guests while exemplifying the Y's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Supervise children, classroom, and all activities, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Design and implement daily lesson/activity plans that align with the established curriculum.
- Maintain program records, including attendance, progress reports, and incident reports.
- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training (18 hours per year).

Requirements:
- Ability to perform duties with professionalism, enthusiasm, kindness, empathy, care, honesty, and respect.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law; 18 ECE Credits.
- At least 21 years of age.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A certificate in DEI or extensive training and work experience.
- An associate degree or higher in ECE or equivalent.
- 3 or more years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
Salary: $16.80 - $20.16 hourly wage, depending on experience. All positions require passing a background check.
