Job OverviewAt Optum, a leading health services company, we are dedicated to making the health system work better for everyone. As a Part Time Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Genoa mental health pharmacy team. Your responsibilities will include dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and working closely with registered pharmacists to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
About the Job
This is a part-time opportunity with varying hours, including Monday 8:00am to 12:00pm CST and Wednesday and Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm CST. The ideal candidate will have an active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Kentucky and access to reliable transportation. National Pharmacy Technician Certification and experience with pharmacy data entry are preferred qualifications.
Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders under direct pharmacist supervision
• Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies
• Process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records
• Collaborate with the pharmacist on pharmacy functions and compliance
• Perform various clerical duties and communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills
• Other duties as assigned by the management team
