Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Developer Coordinator to join our team. This role will work closely with our Director of Operations and cross-functionally with our sales partner and suppliers to create specific products in the beauty world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Director of Operations to manage briefs for sourcing requests and assist with customer account requests.
  • Assist with product development tasks and reporting.
  • Ensure detailed and organized product development to achieve successful and profitable launches.
  • Organize kick-off meetings with sales, Quality, and New Product Development management and define the best approach.
  • Develop empty pack, formula, and cosmetic accessory items that meet the needs and requirements of IBG and our customers.
  • Source and vet vendors compatible with production and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate price, quality, delivery, and payment terms with vendors.
  • Request product information from vendors on final pack-out, fact sheets, and Quality/Regulatory paperwork.
  • Qualify vendors through a specific approval process with Operations and QA to mitigate risk.
  • Request samples and review for quality and performance and complete product specifications.
  • Advise assigned Project Manager of vendors' production lead times to create timelines.
  • Complete and present costing sheets per project for approval.
  • Manage/Update development trackers and communicate latest project updates with the team during weekly development meetings.
About You
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Development/Sourcing in the packaging and/or cosmetic industry.
  • Project planning experience and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working with international factories and vendors.
  • Formula and/or packaging expertise is strongly preferred.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet, Wrike, and Netsuite is an asset.
