Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate organizational charts, ensuring sufficient staffing levels, and assisting in the development and implementation of HR processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate organizational chart diagrams and ensure sufficient staffing levels.
  • Assist in ensuring HR processes are up to date and efficient.
  • Maintain compliant employee files and I9 documentation.
  • Keep updated job descriptions on all current and new positions.
  • Schedule and prepare documentation for performance evaluations.
  • Post jobs, review resumes, conduct phone screens, and schedule interviews for qualified applicants.
  • Search and recruit talent by using websites such as Indeed and LinkedIn and maintaining positive relationships with trade schools.
  • Attend career fairs and networking events both locally and out of the area.
  • Communicate with department leaders on applicants and staffing needs.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, educate employees on benefits and policies.
  • Help employees enroll in benefits.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating employee appreciation giveaways and company events.
  • Inform HR Manager of any relevant employee issues.
  • Prioritize legal compliance and employee safety.
Requirements
  • Ability to prioritize confidentiality and discretion when it comes to employee's personal information and company business.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated consistency, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Present with a professional appearance and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Management, or other related field preferred.
  • Experience may be a substitute for education.
  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certification is a plus.
