Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our Rehab team, specializing in critical access care, orthopedics, and outpatient neurology. With over 100 members, our larger Ridgeview Rehab team offers excellence in practice and professional growth support.

Purpose of Job
As a casual position, this role is responsible for evaluating and treating Physical Therapy clients accessing the Rehab Specialties department. When working at Ridgeview, the Physical Therapist will provide access, intervention, and discharge for all ages within the professional scope of practice as defined by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Job Functions
  • Performs evaluations, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards.
  • Provides current and quality treatment, utilizing Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care.
  • Communicates with the patient, health care providers, insurer, and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed.
  • Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures, and chart audit procedures.
  • Understands and uses reimbursement and regulatory guidelines for care and environment.
  • Provides effective supervision of PTAs, ATCs, aides, students, and volunteers when physical therapy is provided.
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and organize tasks.
  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions.
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, self-control, and maturity in work and behavior.
  • Ability to promote Rehab Specialties services.
  • Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
  • Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
