We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health team at The University of Kansas Health System. This is a full-time opportunity working night shifts, providing exceptional care to patients in a psychiatric setting.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing services, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. As an LPN, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patient care, adhering to unit standards and protocols.
- Administer medications within your scope of licensure, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Conduct focused assessments as directed by a RN, utilizing effective problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate records, contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1+ years of experience as an LPN in a behavioral health setting.
