About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Foreign Filing Legal Assistant to join our team at Sterne Kessler Goldstein and Fox PLLC. As a Foreign Filing Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for processing the filing of new foreign patent applications worldwide, preparing and reviewing correspondence, and maintaining knowledge of foreign filing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Process the filing of new foreign patent applications worldwide, including EPC, PCT, national, and non-convention cases
* Prepare and review correspondence from foreign associates and to clients and associates regarding new applications, formal requirements, and filing details
* Maintain knowledge of foreign filing requirements, tax laws, renewal data, and expiration data
* Review docket reports for accuracy and maintain a daily and personal docket

Requirements

* Foreign filing experience at another law firm required, preferably with a minimum of 3-5 years of foreign filing experience
* Strong personal initiative and good judgment skills
* College degree and/or paralegal certification preferred
* Ability to independently manage your own workload to meet department deadlines and perform job duties efficiently and productively under pressure
