Job Summary

The School Based Mental Health Professional provides behavioral health services as contracted by the school district. This role involves coordinating, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and families. The successful candidate will provide classroom support, individual counseling, facilitate social skills groups, and crisis intervention, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide therapy services to promote exploration and understanding of personal and interpersonal dynamics as designated by school district and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) needs.
  • Monitor behavioral data for documentation and develop behavioral summaries for IEP meetings and access to care.
  • Handle administrative duties such as incident reporting, therapeutic restraint paperwork, SAFE-T documentation, and other necessary paperwork consistent with licensure, accreditation, funding sources, and CGRC technology reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate Social Skills groups as outlined by school district need.
  • Provide clinical leadership to the CGRC team in schools.
  • Consult with all other professionals involved in service to the child, adolescent, and family.
